Agency experience for 6 months doing PR, 1 year at marketing agency (google ads, SEO, analytics) and haven’t been able to work for a year due to visa processing so I’ve been doing freelance work: websites, social media… I believe I want to do strategy at an agency but also like consulting firms. I know my experience is a bit over the place so if anyone has any advice on what’d be a good fit!

Question on changing roles: a friend of mine did not pass the final round at BCG for an associate position, due to not having as much relevant experience as the other candidates. However, they are interested in him and will likely offer him a research position. Does anybody know whether it is likely that you can switch from a research role to a consulting role? Very interested to learn if anyone has experienced this :)
