Even if they don't release and Offer letter, any email from them with Total offered CTC, and if it has breakup and written confirmation that you will be hired on X/x/X date should be good enough as a pseudo-offer-letter.
I'd happily use its screenshots to shop for my next offer. Period. 🤘

I would never. Say the same to the HR, and am sure they would not sell any of their BS anymore and give some written commitment, position and breakup, an OL at the least.
I am also facing the same issue. Documents submission before release offer letter is really bad things, they need to ask to share minimum documents.
I believe they like to waste candidate as well as their company time 😂

Atleast If you are not releasing offer letter ,give some confirmation over the mail these days after clearing interview if we ask for offer letter they are saying we will release don't worry ,not providing any confirmation over mail not even sharing LOI

Because they frustrated that candidates confirm and without any intimation do not join. So it's tit for tat now. Some firms are releasing offer with a Clause that you must join and should not accept others offer letters and all.
Yes these days companies are not releasing offer letters ,i am also facing the same issue HR just told right now your lwd is too far away we will release your offer before 15 days of joining

All the HRs are one end happy that you guys think they have such power to release or hold offer letters. It's like assuming finance team decides your payroll!!
On another hand they unhappy that you unnecessarily blame them.
I guess it's safe to say that it's common nowadays. It's frustrating.
