I’m a 2 year audit manager (7 YOE, 3firms),big 4, fully remote, have never been in any of the offices or on trips, LCOL. making $131k
I think work life balance should also be considered
I was at this same comp at 9 YOE a couple years ago. Also in medium/high COLA . You might be able to get up to $140-145k base as an audit manager. I haven’t seen many manager roles paying higher than that in industry
Why are you not a SM/Director by now?
I picked WLB over progression the past four years for family reasons.
Base sounds low for your YOE experience with CPA. Do you have B4 experience? And is 20% travel the 3-5 trips a year or is that going to a client site once a week
The offer seems somewhat fair then still a little low on base. I think you just need to evaluate if there is growth at the company and if that’s what you want for your career
Depends how much you’re making now
You should be at least at 225k at this point
Reread your post. In consulting 225 is very common for manager, but audit you would need to be an SM2 or director for that. As an audit manager with your YOE you want to at least be at 175
It sounds average.
Is your 9yoe in audit? Cuz seems a little low especially if you're in a higher cost of labor area.
Is this role in industry or public?
