Best consulting companies in the social sector?
Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

Yes, most B4 FDD/TAS personnel come from an audit background. I would suggest you get your story straight on why you want to do TAS/FDD, as well as show examples of how your work might relate to what you might do in that practice (and why you want to get more experience in that aspect). For example, I had clients that were going through M&A activity, performed a lot of analysis for clients (quarterly reviews, reviews, etc.), so I wanted to perform this type of technical work and in this type of field.
On the CPA vs. CFA for TAS/FDD, you should definitely look to get your CPA. I don't think you will be able to make the transition without it, since most people come into these groups at the senior level and you need the CPA to be a manager. CFA would be a "nice to have" thing in TAS/FDD, but I don't think the amount of work required is really necessary for FDD. However, it may prove useful later on if you want to to transition to a specific career that requires it (Asset Management, Equity Research, etc.).
Just wanted to second what both these posts are saying, CFA is nice to have and can help you down the line in another role but in my office everyone on the FDD team has a CPA. Don’t know if it’s a requirement or not at EY but is definitely a plus.
KPMG requires CPA to make manager in FDD
Wrong. I’m in KPMG FDD and CPA is not a requirement for any promotion except for partners.
Hey OP - tip / trick: if you search for open job positions you’re looking into, most B4 include the designation types in senior and manager listings. The certification options usually vary by SL/SSL for manager promo.

CPA is much more relevant and as an external hire you pretty much need it in order to get the job.
The CFA will take a minimum of 2.5 years... if you're gonna do that, I would hope you get a job better than FDD.

Even so, the average time to pass all parts is 4-5 years. I honestly think you can make better use of that time if the goal is to get to FDD.
Is TAS transaction advisory services? What’s FDD lol
Yes TAS is transaction advisory services and like the others have mentioned FDD stands for financial due diligence. You help companies navigate the process of buying and selling segments, brands, or entire businesses.
