Offered job @McDonalds for 90K with a 5K sign on bonus. Currently making 85K. Bonus structure at McDonald’s is 14-30% and a much better WLB. Torn on whether jumping to industry would stagnate my career or if I should look to hop to a different consulting field before joining industry (currently I’m in TP w/interest in strategy consulting). Speaking with a few different companies this week but McDonald’s wants my decision by Wednesday. Offered the job last Friday 9/23. Thoughts?

How many married professionals with young families are just sticking it out “for the kids”? Marriage is very dead and has been for a while. Young kids 4 and 1. My wife and I don’t fight, but share 0 interests outside of the kids and can’t stand to be around each other. I was just talking to a younger friend who goes to Cal and It seems like the kids these days hate FAANG or at least Amazon and Facebook are not desired at all. I personally don’t see too many issues working at either Amazon or Facebook because I work at Deloitte where I’m sure we have many questionable clients and worked in financial services before. Curious on whether people are thinking about the ethics of their exit company when deciding to move?
