I’ve been trying to get into the top tier Associate Product Marketing Manager position Google for some time now for just an interview and I feel like business majors somehow have such a stronger chance in getting interviewed especially my business school and I feel really discouraged as an Econ Major and I have a lot of marketing experience that I’ve built over the years. Are there any non-business majors in the tech realm in non technical positions at Google that can advise me?
Hi Fishes
I would like to know about the client interviews (especially in data science or machine learning roles).
Are these interviews tough?
Are these interviews meant to assess technical knowledge? For example, what is binomial distribution, what are different data structures in python, ml algorithms etc.
I would request each of the nagarrians to share their thoughts irrespective of the technologies you are working.
I am thankful to you for taking time and helping me out.

Eh. It’s a nice perk when you have time to kill, but the lounges are getting more and more crowded with wait times occurring more frequently. Plus guest policies are getting nerfed and annual fees keep spiking so it’s getting more and more expensive to even use the lounge in the first place.
Get an AMX platinum.
They are not the same as before covid. Depending on timing it can be an unsupervised daycare while you’re trying to have a call. (Adults are rude as well). And, I have no idea where the hoards of people came from, they were never this crowded
Agree with D1. If you do go for a card with lounge access, do a branded airline card. The priority pass lounges are garbage and so crowded. The high tier airline ones (Polaris, AA flagship) are often still nice and not overcrowded
Yeah sorry those were two separate thoughts lol
bro u a consultant, aren’t they covered by your company? in any case just walked by one with a massive line at 8AM. Def not worth standing in line for.
If your company pays for lounge access, your company charges its clients too much. Come work in federal where we follow federal acquisition requirements.

Priority pass lounges are very disappointing in the US but can be pretty nice abroad. Of course, most of your travel is probably domestic so...
Unless you're flying business and can access those lounges, the next best are the card specific ones (Sapphire, Capital One, Centurion). Myself and P2 both have a VX just for the C1 lounge at our home airport.
