Ok, so I started a position at a company at the beginning of July. Let’s just say it hasn’t been a great experience. I actually really have hated it. So much so that I began applying for other roles shortly after starting. It just wasn’t a good fit. Anyway, I was presented a very good offer at another company recently and accepted. My question is have you ever quit a role this soon after starting? Idk the best way to go about it. As bad as it sounds idk if I even have 2 weeks left in me. Help?

I want to move to Europe or New Zealand. I am educated/barred in the US and only speak English. Is this hopeless, or are there opportunities out there for someone like me?

Anyone have advice for advancing in your current role? My co-worker was hired in at manager level but somehow “proved” he was actually doing director level work and got a title promotion and salary increase in less than a year. I also went above and beyond my job as well (covering for him for a month while he was away on paternity leave) while taking on other projects outside of my job title and got zip—no raise or recognition. Any advice would be appreciated!

Any firms have a focus on Aerospace and Defense industries? Headhunters always reach out about tech and healthcare firms (as well as more generalist ones), which are great but I’m just not that interested. Only find a few with significant A&D exposure.
