No to CFA. Not needed at all. If you are still pre-MBA, transition to PE DD work at your firm. Do a year or two of DD and you’ll have plenty of reps to move to PE. I PE DD work for years and saw many do as I stated above and transition. Also, I was at a tier 2 shop not MBB.
