So what happens to comp for associates that are more senior than the scale (ie grad year 2013 or earlier now)? I’m a 7th year and considering a lateral move, which would likely push my partnership eligibility by a couple years because I’ll need to create a track record at the new firm. If I go and I’m still an associate past my 8th year, would I remain at the comp level of an 8th year or how is that usually handled?

I’m interested in both ScrumMaster and Product Owner roles. I have 2.5 YOE. As a strategist, vc associate, IT business analyst 3.

I keep looking at SM and PO roles but they all mandate prior SM and PO exp. How can I make the transition?

I’m looking for a mentor in the tech / start up industry at the moment. I’ve been in HR for around 2-3 years and currently working in fintech for 8 months. I love the tech industry and I love how fast paced everything is. I started my career working alongside a manager that wasn’t always present and now working in HR alone. I’ve never really known if what I’m doing is right,I’d really appreciate being able to lean on and be mentored by someone who is a HR leader in the same kind of environment.

For equity research, do associates necessarily have a background in the industry they cover? For example, is it normal for someone with no previous science background to be an associate covering biotech?

Is it a red flag if, after almost two years in a full quota carrying and selling role I want to take a lower role at another company in order to break into a field (tech sales) I want to work in? It’s better pay - closer to home and at a company with a better reputation?

I can’t help but feel stuck in my career. I’m a licensed attorney in another country, but been working as a law clerk in a firm for about a year now. I was hoping to take the NY bar in February but the foreign law graduate restrictions won’t allow. Now, I have to wait till July! I can’t help but feel this way, and as much as I love my company, I’m beginning to dislike the role. Maybe it’s an ‘ego’ thing? Anyone ever been in this position? How did you get over it?

Folks, need some advice here. I got my hike letter at Unilever and it looks like the hike is only on the basic salary (as per the letter) and not on entire fixed (basic + hra + other). I joined the company only last year and I'm trying to understand if this is the usual thing here. Today, I resigned from TD to join Amazon. I was denied promotions twice in last 9 months and I felt tired. So when I resigned, I didn’t feel good after that.
