One of my colleagues is on the “people advisory committee” basically to talk about what employees are saying, conduct surveys, etc.. for the department. He said leadership isnt anchoring plans around promotion anymore which seems to be a contrast from the past. Are you noticing the same at your company? Is it “harder” to get promoted now?

What were some circumstances where you have had to to let go of an internal company offer after accepting it?

Hi all,

After the final interview, HR reached out and said they would like to extend an offer. HR gave a ball park of 135k - 145k base with about 15k in sign-on equity and 20k annual bonus.

After a couple of days, HR person came back with with 125k base and 20k annual bonus. No sign-on equity anymore. What should I do given that these numbers seem way lower than the initial range provided? HR claimed it’s because of “market conditions”.

Does anyone have a tool/ site that calculates what the offer would need to be to leave a current role, all things considered? Of course, it’s anything more than you’re making now, but I’m looking for something that accounts for LTE, the hassle, risk, etc.

My two year anniversary of starting my career (in general) is coming up in the next 3 weeks.

Aug 2020- 65k base salary
Jan 2022- 80k base salary
July/Aug 2022- 110k base salary
