My contract is coming to an end so I contacted my manager was offered an job at same 7b level at 17 lakhs . Should I take the offer , will I have growth in the Company? Hi Fishes, I have received an offer from Barclays for AVP position. But the role discussed during interview was for Tech Delivery Manager whereas the offer letter mentions it as Tech Delivery Lead. Can you guys please suggest if it is the same role or should I request recruiter to get the role updated? Jumping companies frequently is why he’s getting such a high package. You do realise that joining companies will give you a minimum hike of 30% while annual hikes are max 15% if you’re lucky. From what I’ve seen, people stick to a firm until they get a promotion and subsequent hike, then use that payslip to get another job opportunity with an even higher pay and designation. I have heard of data scientist but not sure what kind of work they do, so they are getting this huge packages.
Also, do they have really good WLB or just for sake of money they stick their ass for whole day to the desks?

I have started my career with 8000 rupees in 2013 and i was the only guy from my college who got the job in core company. Now i am drawing around 24L + shares and have few offers around 35L. You are really underpaid. The market is super high now a days. You can easily get 100% hike or even more. You are a big data guy target big product base organisations. You can go for walmart global. Avg interview and highly paid job.

The few known data scientist in my connections are earning 30+ with 6-7 years of exp make a switch and ask for 100% hike kill the notice period and VOILA it's this easy these days market is rocket shipping.

What are the tech stacks that you know/work on as a data scientist?
Moreover 10yoe and 12yoe hardly has any difference..... I seen people with less than 2yoe getting 25lpa in normal companies... So exp and PKG has no relation.... Just skillset, companies urgency to fill that role, negotiation skills matters
Bro, Amazon itself offer a good CTC . With 5 year of experience i guess 50+ lakh around.. and 30-40%. Will make a good package.

Yeah that's life at nagarro. I have 3yoe working at 6lpa all 3 years in nagarro. New recruits with same experience get 15+ offer @nagarro. But when I asked hr for more. She said this is how our appraisals work and we have already given the maximum possible. Guess I will just have to change.
That's because I have already got one appraisal yet. First it was delayed as they set 8 months training time then a 6 month covid delay. For 1 appraisal the amount is good but if you consider the work ex and current market trend then it is less
