Online when I research MBB partner salary it seems most things state 600k base and then only increases in bonus. Is this true? Or does a partners base comp also increase with tenure?

Is anyone concerned the push for sexual equality in pay without accordant leveling of parental leave is gonna backfire?

Here’s a hypothetical:

A company has 2 candidates, aged 25-30, equal in every respect save one’s a man the other’s a woman. Maybe the woman is a slightly better candidate overall. They’d have equal comp.

Company considers the woman a riskier bet due to possibility she’ll take maternity leave — and considers the man less risky for his ineligibility to take as much leave. 🤷

How does your firm measure utilization? I work for a small boutique that defines it as utilization = number of billable hours/2,080 and full bonus payout occurs at 80% plus.

I asked for $135K for a managerial position in govt sector at KPMG and I think I lowballed myself by putting that number on the application. If I receive am offer can I ask for more ? They never gave me a range but I feel like govt sector at all these firms is lower pay but that's my wheelhouse. I have been asked to train a new employee, who is also a senior associate, and it’s been three months but just doesn’t seem to understand our work. We do A123 control testing and have assigned him this one area to test and basically own.
