The standard at US MBB is MBA = MD = JD = PhD from a well known school; masters is kind of a crapshoot.

Think only way MS is useful in getting higher comp is if you use the specialized knowledge u got from the MS and get in as an SME. So your specialty should be in high demand / be a niche skillset
Also if you don’t have a MBA yet you can always go get one and get that higher salary - You are in a better shape than I am.. I already got my MBA from a non-US school so I can’t even get an MBA and firms in the US don’t value my degree lol
Talk to your RL and the degree moving you into the advanced degree cohort. I think you could make a case for it if the program was top 2 and relevant to the work you do for your team. My parented was able to get some phds moved into the cohort. If would be good obviously for retention and you n

No. Moving up in consulting entails leading workstreams, engagements, client relationships, and sales.
MS means youve got depth in some area. That can translate into a notable technical contribution or expertise but doesn't indicate success at any of the above.
Top MBAs are generally supposed to lead. Hence the baseline is expected to be higher. They're two different degrees + paths.
C1 - you need to add to your equation that the average full time MBA has 5 years of work experience. It’s highly unusual to not have any experience has an MBA (which I’m sure you know)
