Okay, who did this... 😂

So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

I have a managing attorney who really cares about us. She is always asking us what she can help us with, and she is worried about our physical and mental health. She is always promoting programs to help us do something fun or something that will improve our health. Every client adores her because she cares. Best manager so far!

Well alright, that is the best kind of attorney. Actually I think, she is a gem. You definitely do not find attorney like that anymore. They are rare. Now, that doesn't mean the other attorney are poot because they are not.
Right now I finally found a good managing attorney who helps his associates and staff alike. No yelling or screaming . No blame. Just open communication and real collaboration. He also assists with workload. It’s a breath of fresh air honestly. I’m just sad he got promoted and is transferring to another office. ☹️

oh darn it. That would have been a perfect one to work under. Maybe ask him if he will be able to take a legal Assistant with him. That would be a blessing to you hopefully. Just a thought. What do you think? Nay or maybe? I know it doesn't work out like that but hoping the best for you anyway.
When I worked at the Securities & Exchange Commission in DC, I had a lovely supervisor/attorney who was the best boss I have ever had. She was kind, super supportive and a great mentor. I will never forget her and we became good friends. Heck, after 3 mos. on the job, she even put me on the International Banking Committee and I was so touched that she had that confidence in me. Other attys have been neutral (no problems w/them, but not memorable). And yes, I have worked for only a few tyrants. Don't let the bad stories scare you though, it's really to me, a luck of the draw type thing. Good luck to you!

OH yea. That is so lucky and blessed too. When get those gems of attorneys (and they are rare) I think it makes working for them special and it just makes going the extra mile such a pleasure and pleasant experience.
It took me four different firms over the course of nine years to find the right fit and I’ve been at my current firm for almost eight years. I work with attorneys in many different practice groups and can honestly say I like all of them. Some are more efficient and less frustrating than others but that’s just how it goes when you work with many attorneys, but I can honestly say they are all so nice and understanding when I’m pulled in different directions at the same time.
I work inhouse. I was previously a legal assistant and got hired as a Para without any prior experience or faniliarity with the kind of market. Besides being supper patience with my learning curve, he is also welcoming of my questions on the practice, since I shared I wanted to go to law school soon. But he is retiring soon. 🥹

Oh, I'm so sorry. But hey, learn as much as you can from this attorney and ask him everything. Since he is retiring ask him what is he going to do with all his law books? I remember one attorney was a collector of law book from way way back. When women couldn't vote, their property wasn't theirs if their husband's died and the brother or male in the family was the one who had authority over the property. It is fascinating to read the old laws. Stealing a horse was the consequences with hanging (and as far as I know that law is still in effect today but they don't use it - my mom told me one time that still have so many old laws they have not abolished yet. I just laughed. I think she was joking. I hope anyway.
