I am Oracle DBA with experience in AWS and Azure.

CCTC : 11.18LPA

Got offer from Oracle of 25 LPA with 23 as fixed. I am getting confused seeing all the posts regarding 35-40 LPA with other tech stack and with less experience. My query is what can be the next path for an Oracle DBA to reach high paid jobs like this. Need suggestions.

Went for a pre-employment drug test yesterday. They never asked me if I was on any medications. I had to ask them and was told "oh yeah, just put any you may think make a difference in this text box." I put Xanax, Flexeril, and gabapentin. All of which are prescribed and used as directed. Now I'm terrified that I should have put ALL my meds, to including my psych meds. I've been sober over 12 years and never touched drugs (just booze) but I'm having a full blown panic attack.

I'm someone who has jumped firms a lot and am currently being pushed out of my current firm. I don't want to jump again, but I also don't want to lose this job with nothing lined up. Has anyone been in this situation? Were you let go without a job? How did you recover?

I'm a PA in the PNW working for a private group staffing ED's in several hospitals. Recently the group has asked the PA's to take on a couple new roles (triaging and rapid track from triage i.e. straightforward ESI 4, 5). With these changes the PA's are considering asking for increased pay in the form of an addition of a COLA (cost of living adjustment) to our normal salary. Was wondering if any other PA's in the ED have these in their contracts and at what rate.

Just accepted an offer with a psych startup. Not exactly the offer I was hoping for as I’m taking a slight pay cut ($73/hr) and it’s a 1099 position. I keep getting stuck on the 1099 piece because I’ll be working 40 hrs/wk, but have been told I’m not eligible to be a W2 employee. Needless to say, no benefits whatsoever. They don’t even provide a computer or any other remote equipment for the completely remote position. Am I making a mistake? Also, can anyone chime in about being a 1099 employee?

Have any of you worked in FM and then started practicing HIV medicine? I am working toward an AAHIVS credential, but am wondering if I need to leave my current practice vs try to incorporate treatment where I am. No one else treats HIV in my clinic currently, and PAs in my clinic are not currently paneled but I have a lot of autonomy in my team despite technically seeing patients with an MD listed as PCP

I’m in PA school now but in the process of interviewing for what might be my dream job in medical imaging industry. If I get the job pay will start around 120k at a large company with room for growth. If I stay in PA school I will have around 120k in debt and will probably work in vascular surgery.
