Today, I resigned from TD to join Amazon. I was denied promotions twice in last 9 months and I felt tired. So when I resigned, I didn’t feel good after that. Not because I’m not excited about Amazon, but somewhere in my heart, I felt too comfortable at TD. Even though they stopped valuing me, I don’t know why I felt bad after resigning? Do I not have self-respect? Or I did right and I’m just overthinking? What else could it be?
You need to search for available roles using jobfinder.Amazon.com. Once you identify some roles that you like, reach out directly to the HM and schedule time to discuss the role further. Do not apply for the role until you’re sure it’s something you want to go through with, as your current manager will automatically receive an email when you apply. Good luck!
What can I say that why I’m looking for change so soon after joining? Do HMs even buy that? And more importantly, will HM won’t reach out to my existing manager? If he does, that will screw up my current job as well. Isn’t it?
