Please if you can help and advise?
I have just joined Amazon Retail as sr Program Manager a month ago. I miss banking/technology now. I have heard that I can move teams. I know it’s too early so I don’t know how to approach this situation and potential HMs. Reaching out to this community to seek help if you have similar roles for which you (or your network) is hiring, would you be able to help? It’s better to be in a relevant role and be best than performing poor in current role. Please help.
Hey guys! So I have a Top Secret Clearance and recently joined Amazon in a position that doesn’t require it. Would Amazon offer to host my clearance considering that they are looking for multiple people with this type of clearance? I’m open to cleared work but was hired for a commercial Strategy and just not sure if I should bring it up? Thought?

It’s probably safer than wherever you are leaving from
Amazon generally doesn’t have layoffs outside of when a business unit shuts down. Even then people are generally absorbed back elsewhere.
It’s impossible to lose your job here so I’d say it’s very safe.
Lol. 18k folks laid off recently. And it’s considered very safe?
Don’t.
It depends which side of Amazon you are on. Some are stable, others have a PIP culture.
Normally PIP happens across the board as we have Unregretted Attrition where we cut out the bottom 6% for certain parts of the business. It’s frankly hard to find out where it happens the most - but often it’s in teams with low turnover.
If you are looking for an easy, cushy 9-5 job - Amazon won’t be the place. If you can handle pressure, conflicts and are a self starter it’s pretty awesome to work :)
