Food for thought this a Friday. Quiet quitting has been trending for the last few weeks. This is problematic in two ways. A) Doesn’t actually identify the root cause for burnout (I.e abuse at work or poor company culture B) Completely dismisses a whole demographic of people unable to do the bare minimum without facing penalty. Unless you’re already on antidepressants anyway, I strongly suggest you reconsider recruiting for Bain
Constant false urgency, persistent high tension among case leadership team, never saying no to clients, always being available to speak with clients, intentionally overscoping cases, smaller/leaner teams, partners being responsible for more cases which translates to less engagement on your case, unnecessary and non-value additive iterations on content, etc.
Much of this is just baseline what to expect at MBB (false urgency, always being on call for clients, etc.), but a lot of it is truly new and likely caused by AI proactively gains being pushed to clients instead of being captured by Bain (overscoping cases, partner engagement, etc.).
Are you familiar with case interviews? Even if so, I would try to get a few live reps in
