Considering offers from BCG Platinion and Salesforce right now. Still trying to get a grip on community and culture of both places. You find some pretty bad reviews for Platinion online but I always wonder whether the people who are content actually go out of their way to write reviews... Anyone with experience at either?

Anyone know the raise amounts for BCG yet?
McKinsey & Company I am joining the McKinsey & Company Boston office in late July and searching for housing in the meantime. If I could get some insight on the ratio of days in the office vs work from home that would be super helpful!
If I need to come into the office regularly I will try to find a place close by.

At both firms the first ~6 months you'll be stuck on w/e.
After that if you're a good performer you'll get what you want
At BCG it may be marginally more challenging - but it's only a marginal difference at best
Bain on the other hand...
BCG2: M def has more flex. M>BCG >> Bain in flexibility imo (n=30 data points across MBB). The global staffing model is definitely one of the biggest draws and the other two can’t match. I’m sure people at BB have great experiences with flexibility too, but this is what I’ve seen on average.
I changed primarily because I felt anonymous at Mck. Had offers from both Bs but decided BCG on conversations with SO/friends at both.

Real talk, in the long run you will get all the random walks you want if you prove you’re good across any company. You will have very few options if you are a weak performer.
All other promises are mostly marketing, you may get lucky but I wouldn’t bet on it.

I actually haven’t found this to be the case at McKinsey at all - have had a lot of say on all my cases since the beginning, and have not stayed within a practice area at all (have done a project with a museum, government work, PEPI, etc). I do think being a top performer gives you more optionality though, but I am only average.
