I’m currently an LLC and looking to assemble an equity deal with an advisor. I don’t know how to set it up with him where he gets his equity in the future when we restructure the entity to a c/s Corp and give out his shares. It doesn’t make sense for us to switch now and get double taxed when we haven’t lifted off the ground. This is pre launch. Any advice?

$530k HHI, $250k cash on hand, $1.2M investments/retirement. Plan to buy $800-900k house as our first home, but thinking of the best approach given rates today. My thinking is that we (i) put $200k+ down and get a 5/1 ARM. (ii) put everything we save moving forward toward paying down the principal (after maximizing retirement accounts). Should be able to do $100k per year. (iii) If rates go down below 4.5ish % for 15 year fixed, refinance and stop aggressive payment. Thoughts on this approach?

Looking into credit card, most likely between emirates nbd Bonvoy card or the Emirates offering. Anything better out there? What has been your experience. My understanding is you can convert the emirates points to Bonvoy? Not sure if the same works Bonvoy —> emirates.

Need advice. Have some credit card debt that I’ve been working to pay off. Have made progress but want to lower it quickly. We have dual income, with a house (~$300k in equity), 1 kid and 1 on the way. I’ve looked into debt consolidation via HELOC but also have ~$80k in vested equity in my company that I haven’t touched. Have you ever been told off by an older attorney of color? We have one Black partner at our firm and in conversation with him this morning he told me I should work on sounding and looking "more professional" and not let my "tone" or "bad attitude" get in the way. I don't think I've ever had a bad attitude at work, and whatever "tone" I'm speaking in it's my normal one. As a Black woman I just feel super weird about it and kind of sad.
