Promised a promotion from my VP, as I currently already perform the job duties of said promotion. Now a year later, “oh sorry, can’t do”. VP gate keeping EVP, going to HR would be career suicide… Only option to go to another company?? Thoughts??

You're the only one that can TRULY answer that. But from the outside looking in, that's what it sounds like to me. If they were serious about making it happen, they could've by now.

Sounds like you really have the advantage. They have you but won’t promote you, fine. To me that’s job security. At the same time, I’d be selective about your next role. In your exit interview why you are leaving, you weren’t given what you were offered or what you asked. Done deal.

Hi everybody! 😊
I've been working as a Junior Analog Design Engineer for a year and half.
I received a proposal for a Senior Analog Designer role from Bosch in the same city where I am currently working.
Should I wait and build up a few more years of experience before accepting a Senior role or should I jump in and work to fill the gap?
Next year, there will be an important deadline for the project I'm working on and my resignation could be critical for the team, how would you deal with it?

Random, but valid/persistent thought.

After 2 years of a pandemic and working independently for many years, I am not feeling interviews AT ALL. There are points in the interview where I want to just say "Look! Either hire me or don't".

How can I get over this feeling? I'm over the whole "stand in the line of fire to prove how good I am" bs. Any recommendations for getting over this or possible industries to pivot into to avoid bs interview processes and ghosting?

I feel that they interact a lot and I'm a little worried of her getting too close to him. A day ago she asked him for lunch and they were out for almost 4-5 hrs. When I expressed how I felt she keeps saying there's nothing going on. I feel that when start to get emotionally close to some other guy than SO then it's not a good sign in relationship. Am I overthinking? contd.

Specific question for fish based in the UK.
Could you let me know what your employer contributions to your company pension scheme are?
For instance, they contribute half of your contribution up to a maximum of 3%. Before any tax incentives etc.
Interested to see the variances, it seems to be substantial from what I've seen. If it changes with level/seniority, please make that clear as well so we can differentiate between companywide averages and individual circumstances / positioning.

Anybody know salary range for VP Operations for GS in SLC?

For expert witnesses/lawyers

I’m a former forensic scientist that left the field several years ago. I recently received a subpoena from a case I worked and suggested to DA to have evidence re-worked by the lab or stipulation. If I am required to testify (as an expert witness), I would need to book a flight, hotel, etc. My question is this: can I ask for my requested hourly rate, travel, and hotel to be covered when speaking with DA or is that “not how this works” as the investigator put it?

There’s no guarantee that I will be offered a job at company B but my gut is telling me that company B would be a better fit for me.
