Hey guys I’m a new ITS manager from a low COL region and was looking to make a move to the West coast. I’m fairly nervous about the cost of living out there versus the salary I’d received to help offset those costs... specifically if interested in PwC. It looks like apartments in San Jose is like $3,500 a month for a 2 BR 1.5 bath so looking to see what you think I should expect as an experienced hire to PwC on the the west coast. Thx for the advice!!!
Heard it’s around 110 but you’ll probably get a bump as an experienced hire
Would it be less for Los Angeles? Or southern Cali offices?
110 seems crazy low for Bay Area. 1st year ITS managers at PwC NY are making ~140-165k with most of that variance due to education level (e.g., MST, JD, JD/LLM etc.)
Is that 140k floor including new manager bonuses or is it strict salary? That sounds high and, if true, I’d be ecstatic. Currently I’m at low-80k. Just a masters of accounting for me.
Then again Pwc always seem to be higher than other big 4 so I guess it is par for the course.
Following for California salaries
California is too broad, but if you’re saying San Jose or San Francisco office, then I agree it should be hitting $115-130
I think you need to negotiate. 140-165 for a specialty tax role doesn’t sound far off for an experienced manager.
