Hey, I have 4 YOE and currently a manager at PwC and have been managing teams for a little over a year now. My role mainly consists of leading teams of engineers deliver MVPs to our clients.
If I wanted to exit to Google or Facebook (Meta) what role would align for me? I was looking at engineering manager roles but unsure if that’s too senior for me.

Every hiring partner is different. Just let the recruiter know your TC expectations and tell them politely you are not interested in wasting anyone’s time if they cannot come close to that number.
As others said, salary is on a cohort model. It's based on level (SA vs M), education (MBA non MBA), city tier (tiers 1-3), and group (Technical consulting vs management consulting). The only thing you can control on short notice is coming in as SA vs manager. Push back on manager
Bc PwC is on a “cohort” salary model, meaning you and everyone else in hour position are (under)paid the same. I had a friend leave for PwC and I went to EY, nearly identical experience and he’s getting $90k while I’m getting $140k. Get out before you even get in
What’s your current TC? I can tell you if they offer you Senior 2/3, you can maybe negotiate that up to M1, which will clock you in at the mid 140s for a Tier 1 city.

ST1 - It varies from $97K to $132K plus up to 15% annual performance bonus
If the SA offer was “far less” base than you make now, I imagine even the manager offer would have been disappointing salary wise
