I’m an SA in DDV (so more junior than OP) and actually like my job, though a lot of others’ complaints are valid. I think your experience is highly dependent on who you work for.
To answer your question OP, overall travel is still slow but it’s project by project. Some folks are traveling every week but most are not. I have traveled twice in the last 2 years for a client.
Another point of view: I am in awe of the deliverables you guys produce. Top notch.

Pwc1 - care to explain why? I have seen similar sentiments in a few other threads without any explanation which is puzzling
Leadership is extremely toxic too, mean people. Better have a thick skin.

we produce good work and we work really hard. It’s a bit of a toxic work environment (0 wlb, crazy political, etc.)

Can the fishies saying don't join please specify which country/state? I'm part of the practice in SEA and aside from the politics and hours on certain project have had a positive experience - but I'm looking to move to the UK office for personal reasons
