I’ve been a licensed general lines (2-20) insurance agent for year and a half and have sold around 2M in premium, of which most of it is personal lines (homeowners, DP), and some commercial lines business. Even though I’m licensed to write my own business, the sole producer in the company is my boss. I currently make 35k + 15k in commissions (approximately). Is this a normal salary? Anyone using Edward Jones? Feel like we did a mistake and rolled over all my husbands retirement accounts from different employers and our kids 529 under them Jan 2020. Since then market is down and accounts lost20%. But the fees every month is pretty high around $200. I am worried to move it to fidelity or some other place and manage myself(not very confident), then I have to sell all of the Edward Jones managed funds and buy new. sell low buy low makes sense but don’t want to loose anymore.

Hadn’t noticed this sub before, and most of the threads are old so thought I’d ask a follow up - how has everyone been handling parenting with public accounting? I’ve got a toddler and my wife is an accountant (industry), and we only have a few immediate family in the country- but they have health concerns.
