Reapplying to BCG for a Q1 2022 start. Have had some recruiters say wait till late October to reapply, while others say they are taking applications on a rolling basis. Anyone know?

I just started with a company as an HR Generalist. Within the 3 weeks of being there, my boss’s boss left, and today I found out my boss gave notice. HR is not valued at the company and it’s disheartening to know I was hired into a mess. I am now actively looking but how do I explain to other employers why I am actively looking and what do I put on my resume? I have never had to deal with this before.

I have been on a planned personal sabbatical this year pursuing personal interests. Now I’m ready to go back to work. I will have next week the second interview with an exec recruiter for a company for a Director level position reporting to the COO of the company. In addition to having relevant experience and accomplishments handy, I would appreciate any pointers for having a good interview at this level.

I want to know why recruiters ask me in an interview if I am looking at other opportunities, or if I am interviewing at other companies. If I say yes they will ask at what stage I am.

I just want to know the reason behind it and if there is a right answer to this question!

Feeling super low. Went through final rounds at 2 companies. The hiring teams sent multiple notes saying they are very impressed only to be told later that the job position is on hold. Back to square1

Does studying for top consulting firms’ case interviews help in any way for interviews with other firms (e.g., FAANG case interviews) ?

Went through multi-day loop for L5 SA and felt confident in my interactions. Presentation went well with no lack of answers for follow up questions. Just found out 6 days later I will not be receiving an offer, and it is policy to not provide feedback of gaps or reasons behind no offer. Also found out they ask you not to reapply for 1 to 2 years for same role. Would anyone recommend an alternate path for feedback on interview (outside of recruiter) and is the 1-2 year policy true?

I worked FT as a paralegal and went to law school in the evening. I recently interviewed at a small ID firm in employment law with about 9 attorneys. They asked for a writing sample. I dont have anything recent but provided what I had from last yr in a legal writing class, it was not enough for them. I became licensed this May so I dont have an array of motions to pick from. Then they asked for my undergrad transcript, at this point, I am now annoyed They are not Biglaw. Are they going overboard

I have been offered a job at KPMG within cyber security in the uk. Originally it was a 25% hike offer. Now I have received a 8% hike at Deloitte as part of the current performance cycle along with a 5k bonus (great incentives every year) The only thing is KPMG is offering this in a @kpmg regional location where I’m based plus the disadvantage is I need to pay 2500£ for my dependent visa costs which I can save if I continued with Deloitte. Seen Lot of negative comments about KPMG. Any thoughts ?

I feel left out in my firm. How do I make 'friends' with my colleagues? I've been here for a year. I am naturally not a very out going person, was never 'cool' and I struggle to speak in group situations / make engaging conversation with higher ups. Just got out of one of my final round interviews. It’s been over 8 weeks of prep. Got a little nervous and may have messed up on the case, PEI went okay. Have the other later this week. Trying to focus on that but difficult knowing how this performance would impact the outcome. Has this happened to anyone and they ended up getting offers? Searching for success stories or tips.
