Recently joined a new Fp&a team and I feel like all I’m ever doing is trying to make sure our numbers are right… there’s no strategy or analysis. Is this typical, i come from a finance operations role which had more to it than budgeting, forecasting and locking down actuals. It feels more like financial reporting than it does finance. Are most Fp&a roles like this?

I’m planning on getting my real estate license this spring! My biggest hesitation is that I currently live downtown Chicago and do not own a car.
