Recruiter came back saying I was super close and that while I didn’t get the role, there’s pretty much the same role on the team opening up in a month and asked if I’d be interested since the HM really wanted me. Do you know in these situations if you have to reinterview again if feedback was strong and the new role is on the same team / same role basically?

Had a first round interview scheduled for a large CPG brand. My interviewer never called me, and I emailed following up to confirm the call. It’s been over a day and no response. What is going on with recruiters? I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt, but not even an email back saying “something came up” or “we’ve moved on” ?
