Want to start saving/investing from this year. Got £11K and will have £2K a month to invest - any recommendations? I don’t want to take crazy risks, somewhere where this is steady long term growth. Best everyday bank account and credit card in Australia for an expat couple?

I‘m moving to Australia with my partner and we don’t have a bank account and credit cards yet. We basically need the bank account only for everyday finance stuff (local payments, debit card, etc) and we‘re looking for some credit cards with good international fees and ideally a reward program to collect some points for traveling.

I’m a new associate to a T&E group, partner goes away on vacation and leaves me with a 706 to review and sign. The family is very wealthy. Decedent married for 60 years. Partner says it’s “just a DSUE election, decedent was ill for years, no assets.” Provides no records. Not even an admission the decedent owned a toothbrush. So I looked up the decedent’s home - it’s a joint asset. Partner was “surprised”, and still insists “no other assets”. I found file references to art and antiques.

I read I won’t be penalized if I take out upto 10k from my IRAs for a first time house (except for taxes on the non-Roth accounts).
