Wow, eight rounds sounds exhausting! Some companies have really layered processes now, especially for tech roles. It can feel like overkill, but they’re usually trying to get multiple perspectives before deciding.
I think this is a good point. One challenge companies face during interviews is making sure the people involved in the evaluation are actually available. It might be that there were no overlapping time slots in their calendars, or that multiple teams will be working with your role and they all need to provide feedback. To me, though, this is telling: you should expect some chaos and disorganization.

I can understand that hiring is a risk, but 8th round sounds too much, really. What role are you interviewing for?
The most I’ve gone is the fourth interview. I decided that if they asked for a fifth, I wouldn’t continue. I guess in today’s market, sometimes we just have to endure these long, annoying processes.
