I'm looking to find a job like the Forward Deployed Engineer role Palantir Technologies in the UK.
I have become hooked on finding a job that involves solving the kinds of problems they presented during their interviews. Although I got to the final round my performance anxiety got the better of me (I think I wanted the job a bit too much...). I will reapply after working in a similar company.
Is it "deep tech" / "data science" or "smart enterprise" that they're doing? Any advice welcome.

255k total comp for your level is very solid.
You graduated law school in 2021 and you think 196k is too low? I would be more than happy with that salary after 4 years post law school.
I hear you. Graduated 2020, top 10%. COVID pushed the bar & swearing in to Jan 2021. I’m also in Chicago so somewhat higher COL. Lots of responsibility/hours in my role since we run a lean team. Just providing more context.
I suggest you look at counsel job listings of roughly equal years experience for other biotech companies (large and small). There are lots on LinkedIn. I started as a senior associate in-house at a big pharma at $255k + 25% cash bonus target + equity tranche. Law firms will generally pay higher but expect much more work out of you.
2020 grad. 2021 bar. Made about 400k last year, 225 base, 45k bonus. 130k RSU vesting.
Mid-size tech, VHCOL.
How much is the equity?
Annual RSUs that vest over time (4 years). At the current share price, this year’s award was around 20k.
Go to Pave.com I think they're still sharing data for free with individuals.
I’m open to the comments, good and bad. Really just don’t have enough insight into what’s normal this early in my career. Friends who I graduated with are at large Chicago firms making 330k base + 100k annual bonus. A recent lunch with them is what prompted me to revisit my own comp.
If you don’t have any insights, you should gain them before thinking you deserve more. Wanting more is fine, but think you deserve to get paid the same amount as those working in a different role and lifestyle is not going to keep you happy or sane.
This is incredibly solid. From some of the comments it looks like you are salary comparing to folks in big law. Don’t do that, it isn’t the same market.
2020 grad and I made about $150k total comp in MCOL pubco. I was top 3 in my class and did two years of a small office of “big law”. Not related industry-wise which I know makes a difference as you’re in biotech
