Was scheduled for an interview today for a Director pos. early morning I get a Reschedule request to next Wednesday but I cannot make it due to personal commitment .
Called recuit mgr.to let him know and he tells me the director is very busy as she’s the IT. Dir for the whole org.politely asked him to send her availability other than next Haven’t received anything since then . Wondering if such co. Is worth pursuing that doesn’t value others time and that too a replacement pos for the same busy role 🥹

Strangely, OW is cometely unknown in some industries like pharma.
I worked at both D and OW. The quality of the people at OW are about the same, maybe slightly better than D.
The work is strategy and Ops, like Deloitte. They are really strong in FS, transportation, a couple of other areas. I liked the vibe better at OW than D.
Exits from OW are really good, I think better than D. But I am probably splitting hairs.
I was Monitor Deloitte at D so I can't comment on technology implementation or digital.
TMT exits are pretty good at OW. while I was there I saw people from my practice go to:
1 Netflix
3-4 other unicorn-like SF tech Co's,
For HF/PE:
1 to a hedge fund on investment team
1 to VC on deal team
1 to big cap PE on deal team
Corporate:
3-4 Corp dev & strategy
OW is way smaller than D, but with 5,000 people in offices all over, it isn't that small. NYC office has 700+ people.
OW recruits from only a handful of schools and is incredibly selective. I was very impressed by people on my case teams. D people were very good too, but I'd give the edge to OW.

I think OW is a great firm esp. when it comes to culture. WLB can be tough at times especially with the strong demand we are experiencing atm - but at least we get/ got a couple of recharge days.
OW can provide you with great exits in most fields, including tech roles (though MBB has an advantage)

Have v close friends working there - Very good FS practice with all major fs firms as clients. A lot of the work might be regulatory compliance but there seems to be a mix of strat as well.
WLB is very project dependent but overall not crazy. Def see them more than folks at MBB.
Rising Star
I know some folks with really impressive academic backgrounds now at OW so they’re doing something right
Rising Star
Probably! But that won’t stop me from trying!
Sounds like you’re already thinking about exiting to tech. Why not go straight to tech and skip the move altogether?
