soo my sleep schedule is effed up, i keep trying to wake up early-ish (7am) but i’m lacking motivation and i wake up tired 😴
i stumbled upon this article that talked about this book. we always hear about the “secret” of strong leaders is that they wake up early. has anyone read this/tried it out?

Took a flight with a partner once and we were late from our inbound connection by 25mins and they held the flight for us, primarily to their status but also partly due to my charms.
That’s somethin else wow
When I was a young associate, I worked with a partner in London whose EA had all the times to the various Heathrow terminals on a chart (ie flight at terminal 3 at 10.05, travel time through terminal is 17 mins, Heathrow express leaves at 9.14, therefore can catch train to Paddington at 9.02, therefore leave office at 8.57. Etc.). It was next level (she had backup plans - like get a motorbike courier - ride on the back of the bike) She used to grab him out of meetings with like 1 minute to spare. He vary rarely missed things.
And people wonder why they didn’t get Distinctive
One time I was 1.5 hours early and still made it.
Got to JFK 30 minutes before take off and my gate was B55 (IYKYK) made it 30 seconds before they closed they door. I was the last on the plane.
Oh I know, SC1
Gates close: 5:36PM, Uber drop off: 5:31PM
LGA on the Thursday night and still made it.
Nice job!
Last time that happened to me I assumed I wouldn’t make it and changed my flight to the next one.
I won’t even leave for the airport tonight until 50/60 min before takeoff
Gate close or take off?
Cool story bros... fkin losers
30min from home to gate. Less if security gods are getting pleased that day.
8:05 for an 8:25 departure, last gate of the airport, of course. Ran flat out from security to the end of the terminal. Very sweaty, but they hadn't given away my seat.
I did that 10 mins before take off time at Atlanta airport, on standby, and made the cut as the last standby person 🤣🤣🤣
my toddler woke me up once 45 minutes before departure. Showed up in my pjs and made it (dfw). had enough time in Miami to shower and get fixed up before my International connection
2 thoughts... I was chastised by a partner for getting to ATL airport too early. Next flight I took his advice and watched them close the boarding door from inside the terminal. Second thought— I got to the Huntsville airport and was dripped off at the terminal. I changed out of my steel toes, went through security, had a secondary hand swab, and made it to the gate 7 minutes after I was dropped off.
Additionally, there was once that I made it from my house in Naperville to my gate at O’Hare in 35 minutes.
last week I pushed it the furthest I ever have. Got to the airport approximately 15 prior, discovered my app had a hiccup and had to see an agent for a boarding pass. When I got there, she had a troubled look on her face, then said “hopefully this works, we are 11 minutes from leaving, I can’t print a boarding pass at the 10 minute mark”, after it printed she said “run like the wind” ....... made it , sweaty and out of breath.
They already closed the gate... then reopened for us
got on a flight to chicago from lga literally one minute before they closed the door
12 mins. Had a rental which I had my teammates (different flight) return. Asked people to let me through at security, rode the monorail, and ran like hell. Door was closed but they opened it for me and one other person. I was sweaty, could hardly breathe, and was shaking (this was my annual workout). They asked if I minded not sitting in business - of course not. I was glad I made it at all.
Wow you all are so cool
I don’t know how you all do that; I would be a sweating, panicked mess. That said, I really do miss the DC/BOS shuttle service out of Marine Air. Get a ticket, fly whatever plane you happen to show up for - early, late, the other airline, whatever. Feh.
:pour some out for Terminal A:
Just made it from my apartment to the gate in 12 minutes. DCA is great.
