Big 4 Consulting interviews: do most people fail out of interviews at the behavioral interview part or the case interview part? Does anyone know statistics of job offers given once you make the casing portion of a Big 4 interview?
Hey , I’m looking for a job switch in business analyst or project manager role . I have been associated with current company for almost 6 years and I feel I’m way underpaid . Please feel free to give referral
Bombed an interview for a really good role today because my mind decided to space out right during the interview. Feel incredibly annoyed/sad. I knew how to answer the questions and what exactly they were looking for but all that came out was a staggered mess (behavioural questions). I even prepared in advance.
Anyone have some tips for interviewing with ADHD, particularly when it’s conversational?
I'm in talks with PwC India for potential offer for Advisory Tech Consulting in banking domain & I'm holding another offer from a Fortune 100 Insurance, Banking & Finances company, but doesn't have the 'Brand Value' in India.
PwC India is offering the location Kolkata & other offer is from Pune(my preferred location).
Keeping in mind the recent political events(I interviewed at PwC before election results) looking for suggestions from you 🐟es, which one would y'all go for? Brand or Location?
Thoughts? Which is more competitive for HSW MBA: Stay on 1 year and get promoted to manager at MBB (3 YOE at promotion) or exit as an associate to a top PE fund but forgo the manager promotion? Hoping to differentiate my app and could always try and exit after promo but aiming to apply in 2023 and would have very limited time in the new role
Accepting an offer in IBD, lateraling over from consulting. Opportunity of a lifetime for me so don’t want to lose it.
But timing is horrible. I joined the Army Reserves before this opportunity was on my radar. Interviewed over several months, got the offer, but shipping out in 1 month for training for 6 months.
Do I irreversibly shoot my career by joining and immediately going on LoA? I obviously haven’t mentioned it in the interview process. Or will this be forgotten a couple years in?
Is it better to go through a faang interview loop & possibly not get it, or practice and revise port/preso/interview skills to try a bit later? A recruiter for one of my dream companies reached out and said to let him know if I want to go through interviews. Their loop lasts 2-6 months. I just finished interviewing for 3 other companies and it was really intense.
To complicate things, I have 2 offers + counter offer from my current company. Should I try for the faang now or wait?

Hi fellow fish! Quick vent - I joined a small consulting firm as an associate consultant, little did I know the firm lacks collaboration, training, and documentation, as well as a manager who doesn’t know the product. I come from large size companies so there sink or swim figure it out on your own. Is not how I learn (it’s oracle product as well) How do I avoid this experience again? I would love to grow with a company in my next role and I hate the fact I need to get out asap!
My client contact is so mean to me. I spend most of my days and nights having anxiety about our interactions, past and potential future. We’re on the phone at least 30 minutes a day and pinging/emailing throughout the rest of the day. How do I stop letting her ruin my life? I’ve started seeing a therapist and I’m working on finding the right antidepressant with my psychiatrist, but it’s trial & error and taking so long. I’m just miserable and it’s bleeding into my home life.
I have a 15 min phone screening coming up for a staff accountant role I have! Is there any advice on how to prepare for this? Thanks!

What are the pros and cons for being a DAS Consultant (Digital) v/s a Generalist Consultant - have been told former is exactly same as latter, only the cases tend to be digital. More importantly, any medium - long term consequences?
Also heard that after 2 years track can be changed back to Generalist - how easy/difficult is that?

Mulling over an offer to join Industry (Banking) - salary match at VP level (10+YOE) + discretionary bonus (FO role) + better WLB. Not seeing a path to promotion at current firm (rejection for multiple years with no specific/satisfactory reason provided - met delivery + sales KPIs - bad managers/backers). Thoughts?

Is there spac for doing both tech transactions and IP lit? I lateraled into an Am 200 as a non traditional mid (~8 years post law school). I now focus on tech trans and data privacy. I think I want to venture more into IP litigation but I am worried I'm too far into my career. Too late? I generally like my practice group and my experience is a good fit. Can't help but think what else is out there.
How can we stop employers from ghosting candidates in the interview process? I've been ghosted after final rounds and take-home assignments, and it's infuriating. We need to do something to change the trend.

I’ve worked with someone who is a few levels above me over the past 2 years, both directly reporting to him and reporting to someone else but working closely with him. I think we get along really well personally but I have a nagging suspicion I annoy him in a professional sense. Mostly because he annoys the shit out of me (micromanages, doesn’t give enough ownership despite giving good feedback, not able to facilitate growth of people under him). Is it reasonable to assume I annoy him too?
Has anyone ever done a postnuptial agreement? At the time of marriage, my spouse and I were relatively equal in terms of finances. I recently came into a large inheritance, and have also had more rapid career success. I’m not trying to be cynical, just trying to be smart. Nobody thinks they will get divorced. This would make me feel much more comfortable. Any guidance?

So I’m in a pickle. I’m 26, been in car sales for 6 years, and have no college under my belt. I want to get out of the car business but do not know what to transition to especially with my lack of experience and making 100k a year. I can’t seem to find a solid exit strategy. Thoughts?

Any insight into the Salesforce partner, Sercante? They are smaller and focus on Pardot/SFMC but are seem to be growing like crazy.
Thinking about leaving my $200k job with a partner to work in house for $140k. Am I crazy? I’m tired of always working and I’m tired of feeling guilty when I’m not. My gut says I’ll be happier in the long run but I also feel like I’d be putting the breaks on my career if I do that. Really not sure what to do.

Had applied for BVS FS last fall. Met some amazing interviewers in 3 rounds, but due to sudden illnesses and bereavement in the family, had to pull out of the process. At the time, I wrote a polite email explaining the circumstances. Is it possible to rejoin the process? Recruiter (one of many) hasnt responded.
Any suggestions on how to get back on the “trail”?
Had a final round on Friday. Recruiting was off then for a wellness day. I thought the interview went well. The manager I last interviewed with said they’d discuss amongst themselves and I should hear back early this week. How long does it usually take for them to make a decision? I know it’s the week of Christmas and only Monday, but this would’ve been an awesome Christmas gift since I really want the role!

Certifications are non-sense, lots of platform app builder and admin ‘passers’ but don’t know how to even update a field or a page layout.
