Hi all,
Does your organization have a good work-life balance, especially for IDs? Or do you know any such organisation? Currently I am working for more than 12 hours a day. I am a mother of one year old, hence, want to switch to the organization, which has less work pressure.

1. They will treat you like labour
2. No matter how hard you work they will not recognise your effort and will curse you everytime to be more productive.
3. Suppose if you joined EY , so it's better to stay away from the southern teams , because these guys are mentally ill, they think that they are scientists and working on some nasa project where they have to dig out the water from the Mars.
4. Work life balance is worst.. you have to work on weekend as well.
5. Long meeting hours.. most of the meetings will happen after 8:30 PM
I have a bunch of list bro.. and I think above points will clear your concept
It's the Managers attitude and client pressure, not sure if East, West, North, or South matters.

Now some ppl will come and tell tht wlb on projects. But trust me almost 90% projects wlb like hell and unrealistic deadline.

Don't join EY GDS if you have other offers. I had 3 offers at the time of joining EY GDS. Only joined to get the Big 4 tag. Now i regret a lot here and will be switching soon.

Do not join EY GDS if you have other offers! I literally regret being here. Either you will have hell lot of work or No work at all like me!
You will be treated like daily wages construction workers.
And the leadership and management people are mostly showoff guys in LinkedIn. No one from Leadership is an inspiring leader.
Right from Manager to upper levels, feel themselves like they are different kind of employees in organisation and lower than that will be treated like contract workers.
You can’t even sustain 1 year here . Because when you face first appraisal cycle itself you will feel whatever I said above.
You are from Technology Consulting or Business Consulting?
Mostly, your reporting manager will be different from your actual manager in the system.
Whatever you work you will not get a good rating.
EY induction is itself pathetic. All they tell you is to log more than 45 hours a week
Most of the projects will have unrealistic deadlines. To achieve them, the team has to work more than 11 hours a day!
On top of all, management will force you to do cirtifications and EY badges.
Work culture and work life balance is not at all good in EY.
Don't join! It's a hell in disguise. There is no such thing as work life balance. You will loose your friends. Your love life will be hampered. More over, your mental health will be destroyed. I do understand that it can change from project to project but what if you are the one who faced these things.
I joined last month and did not find wlb is there. I never recommend any one to join ey. If you have other offer, please accept. Ey is totally make your life hell.

Learn to say 'No', or you'll suffer in all organizations. Till date I have a fairly good time, I am also thinking of leaving the EY, but not because of WLB.
Say no to people who have the guts to listen a no and give excuses to people who don't have the guts to listen to a no. Anyone can have dinner plans, visiting friends/ family, an appointment with a doctor, a lab test and many more such things. If a situation has arrived where your manager has pushed you to such an extent, then he deserves such excuses and if he is intelligent enough he will understand the reason too.

I commented this already somewhere,
I work in a team which starts working at 8 am and there is no official ending time so think about wlb.
This is a team where you or your boss will be slogging while being even on sick leave. There is an indirect push to work even after 8 pm for daily deliverables. I would simply say that this is rolled up top to bottom action due to "hours" target and misaligned market expectations. But definitely don't join GDS.
What's your tech stack?.
You will have the perception of FOMO (Fear of missing out) everyday.
Just Google it , you will get to know how it will affect your mental health.
Haha. Always felt like we are not included in a team or company.
I got an offer of 17L over my current 15L.
When the market is generally at atleast 50% hike. 😑
Definitely not joining them for the amount of hike they offered and specially after reading all these here.
May I know your tech stack and yoe
I think it depends on the project. I spoke with few EY guys, in tech consulting and TTT, but none mentioned unbearable work pressure.. It depends mainly on the proj i suppose..
Work pressure is always relative and project specific. And i think it somewhat depends on how one manages load..
Oh god , I can't even find one good WLB comment.😩

I will choose good work culture and better wlb over lacs of package.. because my mental health is more important than lacs of rupees.

So let me tell you all big 4 the pressure will be high as we will work on many clients and may have same deadline so if the managers in 2 clients reach out then it's tough. I am into tax and it's seasonally off season will be 3 months something and we can enjoy. This depends on team. Salary at starting will be low if you are fresher but with performance you can increase it. You have to work really hard if you want end up in really good position
It's your attitude that will make the difference.
Ok.. I'll be joining TTT soon..
Soo many negative things about Wlb,I joined 6 months back and not getting enough chargeable projects ,not just me my entire team has so much availability,i check with my manager he says it's because EU is on leave mostly....I ll give it another two months
I'm just glad I escaped from that hellhole.
I have only Ey offer, I m really scared now
I got 2 offers from EY in last 2 years and used them to get a hike. Never joined 😂. Both were Manager levels.
In the second interview I told the partner that my wife is pregnant and I would wish to join and work from home for initial few months. And she says That’s you personal issue you will have to deal with it personally and need to report in office from Day 1. If the leaders are so toxic, I don’t even want to imagine how toxic the culture would be.
The offer was 42LPA against 24LPA. But for me a better life is more important than a better bank balance.
@ey9 each points are correct af.
