I’d consider applying to maybe a couple more schools, lower ranks than those. You might get good $$ without having to sacrifice MBA brand name
Online charts say my GRE = 700 on the GMAT. Which of the two scores should I apply with? Is a 329 GRE enough to eventually get me an interview with MBB?
Ethnicity: Half East Asian, Half Native Hawaiian
Work Experience: I started getting hands-on with analytics at the software company. I was responsible for an asset performance management application that tracked customer traffic to our various sites. There, I was the first within the company to use web traffic data to try and size, and eventually forecast, our customer demographics (for example, found that hotel bookings made with mobile devices increased 15% YoY which led to new mobile-focused projects). One of the managers here liked me and my work so much that when he accepted an offer to be the Director of Product at a healthcare tech startup, he brought me over with him.
These two years of experience gave me a big leg up on my other analysts when I joined a global tech consultancy out of college. I was promoted to SA at mid year and was on track to hit consultant 12 months after undergrad, before being poached to my current firm. They needed a SME in my niche and I successfully sold myself as someone who could quarterback a $5m Advanced Analytics program for their client. After completing that project successfully, I've since held roles with consistently increasing responsibility. Brief summary: Analytics Lead for an O&G super major's Business Transformation program with $2b in its portfolio, Analytics Advisor and SME for an international project in Asia for a multinational pharma company, and other similar roles.
I'm now at the point where recruiters are reaching out to me for Analytics SM roles in industry. I did alright, but didn't get offers after getting to multiple final rounds. In the most recent case, the director I would have worked for met up with me for coffee and let me know that I was his top pick, but they went with someone who had an MBA. He recommended I consider getting one since I'm relatively young, so here I am.
Family background and early life: My family was targeted in the Cultural Revolution in China. My great grandfather was an inventor and entrepreneur. The food and beverage company he founded (which was nationalized), still exists today as one of the largest international F&B brands in the world. My family fled to HK, and again to the US after the 1997 handover. My Mom married a Hawaiian man, but they divorced when I was young due to pressures from my extended family. I've typed a lot so I'll be brief here. I grew up poor as shit and fucked up so much that I ended up learning a lot about life. I learned to cook in middle school so that my siblings and I wouldn't go hungry. I got my first job at a daycare as a freshman in high school. It was hard as fuck and I took 6 years to graduate with my undergrad degree (worked to put myself through college), but all of these experiences have shaped who I am today and why I've been relatively successful in the short time I've been out of college. My life experiences have taught me that not everybody has the same opportunities and privileges, so all of us who do have opportunities and privileges have a responsibility to make the most of them and drive ourselves to our absolute peak.
I'll also add that my great grandfather has been the only male role model in my life. My short term goal is leverage a top MBA into working for MBB. There, I will accrue capital and try to get experience in the F&B industry so that I can start my own company one day and continue my family legacy.
I know I've typed a lot. I will try my best to condense the important parts as essay responses where appropriate. What is the format of the interview that some people get invited to? Would it be a more free form structure that might allow me to talk about my life and work experience in greater detail?
Extracurriculars: I was the President of the student chapter of a national non-profit in college. Since graduating I've stayed involved, helping several student chapters run their org and mentoring students. One of my proudest accomplishments in life has been coaching a cashier at Academy into getting an offer from a tech consulting firm. I am now an Executive Committee member, and one of the Board of Directors of this non-profit (household name) will be my recommenders as we worked closely for several years before he joined the board.
My other recommender is my consulting manager who will give me strong recommendations regarding my performance as a top performer in tech consulting.
I'm applying to HSW, Booth, and Kellogg this R1 with hopes of getting some scholarship, though not sure if either my GRE or GMAT is high enough to earn me one.

I think you have a really nice story, so I would really sell it! Your gmat is a little low but I think your gpa makes up for that somewhat. Tbh play up the native hawaiian aspect. Good luck!!
