Partner at boutique - what’s the best way to enter MBB? (no undergrad degree, joined the Navy instead, but plenty of experience) Also, roughly what level would someone like me be considered for?
Got offer to move to financial services start up- way better culture and slightly better salary + unlimited remote work so I can travel. Think I'll be happier there but also really want an MBA (cont.)
Has MBB lowered their standards? Maybe it’s my time.
Any thoughts on Morning Brew as a workplace? Love their newsletter and podcasts. I am super keen about the space but I'm not sure if it's worth the pay cut from Manager level in MBB
People at strategy shops (e.g., LEK, MBB): any precedent of people making a lateral move from other firms after 2-3 years? High performer but dealing with post-merger internal issues.
How is the financial services consulting different across MBB? In terms of service offerings, areas of focus, culture
So I received an offer that is +45k putting my total salary at 170 as a senior and I tried counter offering but my partner said to me that money will always be there but that I can’t buy connections and growth. I don’t understand the mindset behind this? Isn’t more money today worth more than more money tomorrow?
Everyone keeps talking about regretting not being a SWE at FAANG and earning 250k+ straight away. If you aren’t at MBB, there is a very good chance you would also have not got into FAANG
Anyone from MBB open to having a conversation with me? I’m a part-time MBA candidate and would like to get some advice on how to distinguish myself from my peers
Is it worth moving to Oliver Wyman from Accenture? Move is at the associate level. Base is 130K and potentially higher bonus (25k average estimate). But already at 127K at Accenture at the consultant level and up for promotion this year to push to $150 to 160k base.
MBB interview process is on hold but want to keep case prep fresh. How often is case study prep recommended each week to keep it fresh?
MBB 🐠 a few questions: 1) do you also often have these budget problem discussions at the client not being able to fund the next stage or do they know it‘s gonna be expensive? 2) do engagement consultants do BD in between projects or is it a dedicated acquisition team? 3) how much time do you spend on internal initiatives (and if that depends on the rank)? Amazon Senior Program Manager (non-technical) compensation... Could y’all helpful 🐠 help me understand the range for the following: base, bonus, equity. Levels.fyi says for a Senior Product Manager (close enough maybe?) $141k base, $66k annual stock, $18k bonus. Sound accurate?

Should I quit a ten year stint to double my salary? Even though the 5, 10, 15 year plan doesn’t exist.
Recently got my CFP and wanted to push more in the planning direction. Kind of young for seminars so I thought maybe do more door knocking. What do you think about no soliciting signs though?
Anyone who interviewed Haas Round 2 heard back?
Been with my bf for 10 months. Been on a work from home role for over a year. Mentioned to him that I want to travel for my next role. He was not happy. How do I balance my career and relationship?
Has anyone in the WPP network been promised a promotion/raise and then suffered through the annual Q4 “cash push” freeze? Did you finally get it in Q1? If so, when? Was it worth the wait?

Best SPG/Marriott Hotels to stay at in Orlando?? Either based on the hotel itself or location. Orlando looks really spread out
Ad copywriter who’s freelancing outside of agency world, who do I ask for a reference/review from when finishing up a project? Project leader (who I had minimal interaction with) or day-to-day contact who is lower ranking but actually worked with me beyond the initial interview? At an agency I’d go straight to the CD, but this is a consultancy that doesn’t have that sort of structure.
So I got divorced earlier this year. I left my husband because he was abusive and I don't hate him anymore or feel anger towards him, which has been a big accomplishment for me. I do, however, hate his family for supporting him and making excuses for him. They tried to pin a lot of his mental health issues on me and his sister blocked me on some social media. I'm so angry with them and don't want them to be happy but those feelings are preventing me from moving on. Advice on how to move on pls?
Is anyone else having a hard time getting motivated to keep up with the rat race now that we're working from home? I'm in a promotion year and honestly I'm feeling so disconnected from everything that I can't bring myself to put in the work right now. Anyone else in the same boat?
Any thoughts on the Max vs Mercedes House? During Covid, I don’t think I’ll be taking advantage of most of the amenities so the unit features, safety, cleanliness, management office, maintenance, etc. matters more
How do you feel about LGBTQ inclusivity at your current firm? Is there still a rampant culture of an old white boys' club?
Reporting to a fellow SC who is in a promo year which is awesome BUT it’s their first project on this type of work and they lean on me for direction. They clearly want to argue with drafts just to be the leader making edits and shaking things up. I’ve adjusted to them & pushed back where needed, but I found out that they were making updates to deliverables without telling me, like a manager may do RIGHT b4 sending to clients. Our SM just sent an email saying I should’ve known better. UMM
Any advice for how to not feel guilty about giving notice for a much higher level job that came up out of the blue when you just survived a third round of layoffs and your team, who you care about, is beyond busy?
Met with a CCO for a role on a notoriously “challenging” account. Thirty minute Zoom, nothing in-depth. A few days later the recruiter emails like “Great news. We’ve talked to many people but they’d like to make an offer to you!” I’m thinking to myself, it was a 30 minute call, I’ve never met my direct manager, potential partner(s), etc...So these guys are just desperate to fill this role, right?
Hello all, Opening in TCS CBO (BPS). Any B.com candidate looking for job then, Please share me resume at firstname.lastname@example.org Experience : 1-2 year Location : Across India
I’m an Inclusion Teacher in an elementary school. My role is to support special education students in the general education classroom. I’m struggling how to provide the service due to social distancing protocols. In the past I could sit next to the students or bring them to a back table to work on skills. With the extra furniture in the room removed, this won’t be possible. I will also have students working remotely from home at the same time. Any suggestions or ideas?
