Should I remove a 6 month position from my resume? I have a 30+ year legal career. I lost my child a couple years ago and was let go from my job. I took a few months off and worked 6 months at another firm before being let go. It was clear that I needed to get me together so I took a year off. My question is, should I get rid of the short gig? I guess I wonder if it looks bad to have a 2 year gap even with my current explanation? TIA

An example: I gave some ideas about deposition questions and some observations I made (I was asked about giving suggestions) regarding a witness and the attorney mentioned that he’s the one that had these great questions/observations. With that being said I told her that I would complete my certificate by the summer around the time she would make partner. I did it! I got an in-house Paralegal position after years of working and being burned out at different law firms. I was going to leave the legal field all together because I was so burned out and depressed, but I decided to give the field one more chance if I was able to go in-house.
