Shameless “self” promotion but my girlfriend has a food page on Instagram (Bay Area based) and I am trying to help her reach her goal and spread the word. I would appreciate it if you took a look! https://www.instagram.com/themessymouth
I handle the lease admin functions at my company, a large operator of QSRs. I’ve been at my company for 3 years and was previously at a property management company for 1+ years. We recently hired a new director and are building out our portfolio management team. My supervisor has said a promotion is on the horizon. What is the industry progression from an administration role? Is a coordinator considered a promotion? I want be sure I’m staying marketable and developing as I’m early in my career
Random Thought - Do you feel Deloitte has deteriorated it's quality. I observed following changes when I compare now and what it was 5 years ago: 1. Hiring inefficient people. Just trying to fill the role by hook or crook. Even inexperienced people are hired as managers 2. Boot licking culture. You have to be in good books to progress 3. Promotion dilution - Everyone is a senior consultant now. I remember when I joined Deloitte, sr con was a coveted position 4. Not a pay master - It used to be
Anyone actually get a promotion recently vs being told "you're doing awesome and we appreciate you so much. Keep doing it!" Asking for a friend.
1/4: Leave or stay until Senior promotion in Aug? I started in FSO Tax Jan 21, pushed back from July 20 due to COVID. To start I was pulled from FSO to a SL that gave no valuable experience for the role I was hired to. This happened to many staff due to PPP projects, but those were weeks compared to my rotation being 6 months for “business needs”. Once I started I didn’t receive work for weeks (still online 55 hrs for busy season expectations) and would be assigned mindless tasks when I did.
How is the hikes and promotion every year at Oracle solutions pvt ltd Will Oracle will pay full variable pay?
What risk premium should I apply to a unicorn startup’s equity component? I have an offer from a startup and another from fang for sale total comp. I think there’s probably up to 2x potential in valuation increase for unicorn but not a lot more given their raise was last year in different conditions. Im leaning towards cash today vs cash in 3-5 years esp given upside is capped. What else would you consider? Already factoring in ppl, role, industry etc
In general I’m fine (mentally speaking). But if I need to have a important conversation professionally like asking for raise/promotion or resigning. I get really anxious, my knees won’t stop shaking and I get this feeing that I will pass out. Anxiety I know, but this gets in the way of what I want to say and I always lose it. Do I calm the fuck down in those situations without meds?
I started traveling for work again, and when I got back from a month of travel, the apartment I share with my fiancé was a mess. My fiancé and I also just had a fight about finances, as I make more than him and always pursued promotion/pay, but he doesn’t really have a plan to earn more and says he’d rather have a good wlb. He says he doesn’t have time to clean because he goes into the office, while I work from home when not traveling. I know I’m not the only woman who’s faced this - any advice?
Told recruiter who made me an offer that I was expecting a higher base (told him what base exactly) given expected promotion in my current position this year. Is this a bad negotiation argument? So anxious waiting for them to come back to me 😣
You can only see impact statements entered by your coach as of now. 9th May is the date when you can see your ratings. Outstanding, Strong, Commensurate, last one I dontt know but it is not good. You are safe in top 3. Coach knows your rating now and he/she can tell you now what it is. Schedule a call and know what ratings you have got how you can improve. You can also ask about promotion decision as well if applicable. 26th May compensation statement release. New salary reflect on 30th June.
feeling sad, my colleagues in my old division have been promoted (even someone who started junior and now is senior). 2 years later i haven’t moved but my managers keep saying the next promotion is coming. I want to leave but have thoughts about taking personal time next year to pursue travel and don’t know if I benefit from leaving firm just to be with a company for a short time

I’m a WMCA that has been with Merrill 2 1/2 years and my current team 2 years and have never had a raise despite positive annual reviews. Fully paid by FA’s. Is this normal?

Is there anyone at Publicis Sapient that would be willing to have a quick chat with? I was interested in the associate consultant role in their management consulting practice and would like to get to know more about the company and culture.
Ethical dilemma:Got interview in nyc & they told to book flight that they will reimburse. However, I can just travel there from client location and pocket ~$550. Leaning towards doing right. Thoughts?
I just got on a project that requires me to be remote. I feel like this is will limit my impact and stunt my career growth and I'm looking for Senior this year. Any advice? Can I avoid the project?
Does Not having a firm contribution in your portfolio in the first year have a detrimental effect on your rating?
Sometimes... I see the delta app in my sleep
Is it sad that the highlight of my career so far was traveling international (first class flight, food, etc) and I’m a senior manager 🥲
How do you prepare to exit the firm? Been here for all my career. Would likely be done with my current project by the time I’m ready to exit. Accenture
Any productivity tips when you're literally working 18 hours / day? I like using the pomodoro technique where I work for 25 min and then take a 3-5 min break
Deloitte recruiter called me, she came off kinda condescending as if I should be honored she called. I politely declined to progress forward as a result. Anyone else experience this with D recruiters?
