Why the f are you on a PIP then? My snaps were worse than yours and I was rated a 2 and promoted .
And you were put on PIP? Something seems fishy. Did you piss off a director or partner? 😂
You got screwed. If they felt your technical capability wasn’t up to par, people should have had convos with you and it should have been reflected in your reviews. Anyways, here’s my advice...1. Get off that project 2. Ask the person above you on the next project how you’re doing and what you can improve on frequently so they know you’re working on it
You got shafted. GTFO.
To add, I caught a PIP for pissing someone off. I’m leaving. Got a 20% bump to lateral to a midsize firm. I’ll be making as much as the managers at PwC as a Sr Associate. lol
I’ve never gotten anything above partially next level and just got promoted but you got put on a pip? Who’d you piss off?
What were they before ? Not at level? Partially at level?
Vast majority of my previous snapshots are at level. I got a few partially at level and several partially next level/next level. I am an experienced associate
Give us the # breakdown that's on the right side of the snapshot application (like 1 not, 6 patial, 15 at, 3 partially next, 1 next) or whatever
Sure - here is the breakdown. I received 11 snapshots last year. I got 0 not at level, 9 partially at level, 28 at level, 15 partially next level and 4 next level. The first and only snapshot I have this year for now has 3 partially next level and 2 next level.
That’s surprising OP. What was the reasoning thy gave you for putting you on a PIP?
Well, I guess I pissed off a senior manager. At the same time, the project manager I worked with for that awful project got promoted hehe. I don’t know how to explain my feelings but I can’t do anything right now about it. The only thing I can do is successfully getting out of pip in the next three months if possible. Tips and advice please!
The reason is that they thinkI don’t have enough technical skills. I don’t understand basic work and don’t know how to ask questions. The whole pip is just based on one project
Poor performance is only one of many reasons you can land a pip
Thanks guys! I have rolled off from that awful project and have been working on a new project. I haven’t told my current manager that I am on pip but I did tell her that I wanted to have real time feedback so that I can show my improvement. Would this work?
An update from me - I successfully went through my pip with amazing reviews. I got four snapshots in total with one at level and everything else partially next or at next level. I am quitting tomorrow to go to a PE based consulting firm and helping startups grow in finance and accounting with a 40%+ salary raise plus tons of flexibility (since I can work from home if I’m not traveling). Thanks guys for all your help and bye bye PwC nonsense!
