Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP Thinking of making a lateral move into big law, but not major office like NYC or Chicago. Work at a mid size regional law firm in Hartford, but billing big law hours (210-240/month) and getting paid %50 of market. Granted I’m in hartford. Do any big law firms with Hartford branches get paid top market? Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP

I think I saw your Reddit post the other day. If not, consensus was Latham for EC.

A1 totally fair

All top exec comp groups have extremely high churn since there is never enough talent to staff. Latham is probably less worse, but probably depends on office and the kind of work you'd be doing.

Probably LW for longevity, but STB if you plan on moving soon
Some fine but also some pretty difficult personalities in the STB group (worse if you’re a woman, imo). No clue on Latham.
I was speaking specifically to the exec. comp. group.
There are definitely difficult personalities in a number of groups - but on a firm-wide basis, I don’t think STB is probably too different on that front from other high-vault / NYC-based / M&A-centric firms (they all suck to some degree, and there are always shitty people you’d rather avoid).
As the title said I’m deciding between two offers for exec comp in nyc. I can’t make up my mind, any insight on which you think is better would be greatly appreciated!
