Noise canceling headphones.
I hated it at first then managed to get a lot of value from it bc I heard more of what my team was working on, kept me better informed. However the distraction is tough... perhaps try meditation so you train your mind to focus. Head space in particular helps to teach you to not let sound be an obstacle (or headphones 😜)
Have you ever tried a quick meditation during the work day? That seems like a good way to get your brain back in track but not sure how to do that in the office without getting weird looks 😅
Noise cancelling headphones are worth the price. Also, find places to hide and get work done. It sucks, but it works.
Share feedback - you are definitely not the only one encountering this.
Are people coming up to and distracting you? Or are you distracted by the people around you just by them being there? Finding a quiet space to work in the office (couch, conference room, etc) can solve the first but the latter may be an attention issue that could be more about you than your environment. Just a thought!
