Hi!!
Would anyone be willing to refer me for positions at Syneos Health , IQVIA , Medpace, or similar CRO?
I am currently within the CRO industry in a very well-connected HR role within my organization, and I single-handedly spearhead some of the most innovative HR programs for our entire organization. I am looking for new opportunities for growth :)

Florida is beautiful (same as Cali) but probably the last place I’d want to visit at this time. I’d wait to see how the next 6-8 weeks play out in terms of infections, you can always fly last minute. I’ve been monitoring some of the countries that relaxed measures (Germany) and their infections increased. This could be the case with Florida and other states that open pre maturely.

There have been 2500 new cases since Florida opened. I hope they close it back.
The virus is going to do what it is going to do. Are you high risk? If so, you may want to wait it out for better drugs to treat infections, or even a vaccine. If not, you should live your life. You will get infected eventually. That could happen now, or it could happen later after months of staying at home. As a society we can hide from the virus. The best we can do is protect our vulnerable.
Fair point! It’s more if I’ll be able to relax and enjoy without being paranoid about eating out and introducing 6 new people into our circle + air travel stuff. Stuff I’ll have to weigh in the next month or so. Appreciate your insight!

If I’m making the effort to get on a plane, I would not chose Florida as my end destination.
Why not? Lots of really nice places to go in Florida.

Go ahead. You’ll be fine. Just take normal precautions.
Also, some beaches in Florida are already re-closing due to lack of compliance with social distancing guidelines.

Yup, they closed Naples beaches today.
I wouldn’t go. Putting them at risk. We cancelled East Coast beach vaca even though its driveable.
Be respectful of others and stay home
This is why the market is flying up. Most of the country isn’t concerned and they will start buying like crazy the instant they get a chance. Very very little white collar job loss and almost no primary home foreclosures mean that it will be a V shaped recovery.
The question is would you be able to enjoy the vacation if you would go? I probably wouldn’t as I would be thinking about all the possible risks all the time. This aside, I don’t think the risk of traveling is much higher if at all compared to going to parks or other public places (assuming you wouldn’t just stay in your home).
Yeah that’s my biggest concern honestly - I feel like I wouldn’t be fully relaxed while there. It bothers me that they’re so carefree about it.

Honestly the flights are pretty empty. As long as you’re cautious; masks, washing hands etc. I know plenty of people who have flown and are ok.
Once in FL I probably wouldn’t go sit at restaurants but that’s just me. I would also clean the sheets etc at the AirBnB. Maybe Lysol them... I do that at hotels (BC).
Santa Rosa Beach/Destin area or Port Saint Joe/Apalachicola area? Destin is already fairly busy with beaches and restaurants having reopened. A lot of property owners are quarantining in their rental homes. I might be nervous about the travel aspect myself, and I have been more responsible with most with socially distancing, but I can tell you most people here are not putting their lives on hold, for better or worse
Wait and see. Most states are just opening. We will know what the real situation is in about two weeks maybe three. You have enough time to see if you are willing to take the risk.
End of June is pretty soon.

I wouldn’t go near FloriDUH.
It’s called Seaside, looks like it’s about halfway between PCB and Destin. Haven’t been to Florida since I was about 10, lol. Yeah the cavalier attitude there about social distancing is what’s making me nervous...but then again, maybe it’s just that they don’t need to social distance as much? 🥴
Good to know!
I’m in PCB right now and it’s like people here aren’t even the slightest bit concerned about coronavirus. Drove around 30A this weekend and restaurants/bars were packed.
They opted to keep the commercial district in seaside closed past the April 30 reopen date. They really took the lead in this area with being socially responsible. And I agree, I haven’t left the house much but when driving past most other places on 30A right now, it just looks like business as usual.
