So happy that it’s the weekend and I can completely detach myself from work. Do you usually dissociate from work or it still lingers in your mind?

There are 2 people on my team and our workload is very heavy. As much as I would like for it to not be the case, I think about work on my off-days a lot. Though I do consider myself lucky I have a genuine passion and curiosity for what I do, so I often view work as entertainment as well lol

I try to disconnect. How effective I am at doing so is entirely dependent on the week. It's easy enough when nothing of note has happened at work. When it's been exhausting and stressful, it's a lot harder to banish from my mind.

I'm usually able to leave work behind. I'll think of it, of course. And sometimes I'll jot down something I think about, just so I won't forget it by Monday. I very seldom do any actual work on the weekend. Having that boundary is very important to me.

I do my very best to completely detach

Sometimes I still get calls or “urgent” messages

Hi Fishes
Need a small suggestion. I got selected for HCL technologies and after 2 months they have sent me an email stating the offer is on hold because of some technical issues, when I had a word with HR she told me that the project went on hold.
So my query is if project will come will I be getting my offer letter?

There’s no excuse that by the age of 25 you have never tried therapy. I’m speaking directly to the demographic in this group who I’m sure over 95% of people in here are earning 6 figures. Key word: TRY. I understand it’s not for everyone but to have never even attempted seeking therapy is a injustice to yourself and the people around you.

I work as a Business Development Manager at a sports club.. I’ve been given a couple of months “trial” in the 6 figure and above sales in which I don’t see going back to my other role on lower sales. This was a somewhat good move for me until I consider missing out on commission each month that was more than my salary. (£25k salary, over £2k per month commission)
How do I go about raising this concern? I believe I should be paid more now and at least change my job title?

Hi all! I work in digital marketing / organic social. For those in organic social what platform do you use for scheduling posts, analytics, UGC, managing influencers etc? We currently use bizzare voice/curalate. I work for a national retail brand so we are posting 2x a day with tons of UGC and in house content. Your thoughts and opinion are appreciated with all platforms! :)

I’m thinking back two years ago, when I had a very active GSA. We got started too late to do anything for the Homecoming parade, and I jokingly suggested that we just walk with a sign and throw glitter. The president was all about it until he looked at glitter prices.

Any stories from your GSA?

I have been approached by 3 separate HR people at a startup company to interview for a position. I already have a fulltime job that pays well and I only started 6 months ago too. Anyways, the pay was intriguing and the job was a high level scientific advisor so I did interviews. At the last interview, at the end I was told the job was for management but I prepared for a different kind of interview. I am waiting for an offer or rejection letter. I feel peeved that they wasted my time. Red flags?

Hey all, having issues with interviewing this year. I’ve been passed over every opportunity I really want and I’m unsure how to regroup and move forward. I’m really trying to break into method development roles and I haven’t had the opportunity to do so with my analytical experience. A lot of my HPLC and LCMS experience is with already established methods. Any tips?
