It’s not just high. It’s beyond imagination
It's high anywhere. On Fishbowl it's average. For Data Scientists it's borderline poverty.
I think there is a specific data scientist that G1 is referring to hahah

Believe it not, outside the US is a big place… you’ve got to be more specific about where you’ll be based?

A1 no I moved to industry when I realised I wouldn’t make director. I’m now 35 years old, making 190k base with a pretty much guaranteed 60-100k a year bonus in the entertainment/media industry.

Pretty low for Monaco. Great for Mogadishu.
What do you mean? It’s far more than “high” in most countries, unless you’re saying “300k of another country’s currency”
(OP edited their post to include USD)
Did OP have Dogecoin before replacing it with USD?
Rising Star
It's high in the US too.

I’ve heard of people living on less
How do they survive man?🥺
Like in general? In the entire rest of the world? Yes. Absolutely, easily, yes. It’s a VERY high salary in the US as well.
I read on BBC recently that around a third of the world’s population lives on less than $2 a day, just for perspective.
A 100k usd a year is high in mexico. 300k is almost impossible if you don’t own a company
I’m Germany and the Netherlands, these salaries are extremely rare. I would say above 80k you’re a high earner here

It depends on what you’re buying and desired standard of living! Prices are high everywhere. I’m in Thailand now and expected gold/white gold prices would be lower as an example and prices are much, much higher than what you’d get at Tiffany, David Yurman after forex adjustment + accounting for taxes. We even listened into locals negotiate and fail lol It could be a misalignment of expectations on my end though or poor pricing

Vaca for the holidays 😃 I always do some light jewelry shopping on vacations but will save for a rainy day instead. Unreasonably high pricing for jewelry here w/tons of inventory and not a whole lot of variety. Everything else is great though (excursions, food, etc, etc)
Even in the US (single income) - $300k puts you in top 1.5% of earners.
I think it’s safe to say that 300k is high anywhere in the world …
It’s considered high literally everywhere in the world.
To give you an example, Singapore and NYC are the two most expensive cities in the world currently and $300k doesn’t go very far in nyc, but in singapore you can easily be able to afford to mortgage a decent condominium because taxes are way lower and health insurance is paid for by employer and govt. Taxes are the largest expenses in your life in US and especially coastal cities with not many benefits. So yes $300k is high even by global first world standards
In NYC i would say you need to be making in $600k range minimum to afford similar quality and standard of living.
I make 500k slinging drugs on Wall Street. And 50k as a customer success manager… priorities man.

Outside the US where?
Lol. Zurich pay is 2-3x Milan
Someone’s humble bragging

Unless you’re talking about ¥300k, then yes it’s very high pretty much everywhere outside of Monaco.
