Hi fishes,
Any guess how many people are laid off from Publicis sapient in past few days? Really scared for my future as I'm also under probation period and deeply regret for my choice of joining this firm...I don't understand why were they recruiting peeps when they were short of projects. Publicis Sapient

Job market is bad been looking for 3 months so far getting interviews at least that is a good sign
It’s been tough for sure. Employers seem like they need the absolute perfect fit. I’m in a similar boat, my employer can’t stop eliminating positions that in the past you could expect to get promoted to and it’s been hard to make the switch.
I know I have 2 associates degrees (accounting/IT), and 30 years experience as a controller in automotive manufacturing & staffing.
I constantly see the same jobs pop up every 2-3 weeks for over a year. The whole process is very demorilizing.
Incredibly demoralizing!
It is hard out there. So many out of work, employers feel they can find the "unicorn". Basically they are operating out a state of fear-fear of a bad hire, fear of tariffs, fear of what the current administration will do economically. Who knows how long it will go on.
How long have you been looking? I was laid off recently, but I haven't begun my job search yet.
Both
Are you looking for audit roles or accounting roles?
Good luck!! I’ve definitely seen a decrease in audit roles available. What level are you applying to? Senior or Manager?
Tax role at GT let me know
Sorry I’m audit! Thanks though!
Why would they do that?
Have you talked to a recruiter? My recruiter found me a job that I liked pretty quickly and he did all the work. I didn’t need to apply or anything. I just showed up to the interviews
Where are you located?

I have given up looking. I am on the verge of starting my own bookkeeping business.
Nice that’s the way
Where are you located?
Let me check at work and get back to you
In 30 plus years, I've never gone this long without a job. 7 months. I get interviews but nothing has come through. The trend here in SC is first a telephone or video interview. If you make it to an in person interview, I have been able to seal the deal. I even cut my resume down to 20 years and still nothing. Evidently, 20 years in the workforce is too much. I've even been turned down by Walmart, Chick-fil-A, Panera Bread, Publix, Sam's Club and Costco. I swear I don't have a 3rd eye in the middle. 👁️👁️👁️
Accounting 1 I just left accounting for this reason I’m in a union role now in blue collar look into that !
I am in the exact position 😞
It sucks! Stay strong! Hopefully we both get what we want
