To be honest, I do not prefer night shift because with that shift you might face some problems health wise. So choose wisely.
Bhai paisa ka chakar chod... Logo ka piles ho jata hai night shift se.
If you are a night owl go for the second one. Else don't even think twice to take the first offer. I worked in 5.30-2.30 shift for 1 year and I regretted the decision to join that org. My sleep cycle was disturbed and I've faced many health issues in that 1 year.
At your experience level, no need to worry much about company brand. Go with highest paying one and later after 2 or 3 years if your job is not satisfied if you go with even company 1 they will pay you more as per your current ctc is higher. I have wasted many years with low ctc in big companies.
Agreed. No need to worry with your YOE. Get the highest CTC and make a switch after 1 - 2 years.
Don't go for night shift. You will screw both your day and night schedule. It just doesn't work.
Go for option 2. Night shift kills many opportunities. I had to sleep 12 hours a day to recover from that work each day
3 pm to 11:30 pm may work. You may in anyway awake till 12. If you finish up work at 11:30, you can probably sleep at 2 and wake up at 9/10 AM and start working on other things.
If you work till 3 am. You will sleep at 5/6 am and get disturbed sleep (due to sunlight, househelps's work, people coming in and out in flat/home) till 3-4 pm and then you will not have much opportunity to work on any other thing.
Have faced this for 3 months due to shitty manager and then resigned
This is an anonymous post so you can post the name of the companies. People will then be able to give you better insights on better WLB and type of work.
Night shifts totally depend on individual. I know people who work night shifts and still able to manage their life very well. So don't just go with majority votes
Company 1 : EY
Company 2: BGRS
Have worked in shift (12-9 am) and I must say it takes a toll on your health in the long run. But at the same time the amount credited each month was also good. As I see you’ve 2.4 YOE, so my suggestion would be to take the highest paying job now & continue it for 2 yrs max. Gradually when you move towards higher experience change to a decent shift. Because now you can easily do the shifts but later if you continue you’ll yourself understand the impacts.
Or Try to retain in your current company if it's possible, permanent Night shift is only suggested if you don't have any other choice.
Current company will not match that much hike any given day . I did try still
Dont go for night shift job. Your mind will slow down in night. If you can't sleep day time and there are other disturbances, don't opt for night shift job.
Choose the 11:30 one, if your only choice is between these two companies you've mentioned. Mine is the same timing, I realised that I sleep at 12 anyway, working or not. And the morning time that you get is really relaxing. The 3AM one sounds so scary!
I think your age should be now 24-28 years, at this age you must take such RISKS & Join to the company whichever gives the highest CTC.
But you must remember to leave that Toxic company after 3-6 months and choose another company job which gives stable work style.
Saying: If you don't work for your body and mind's wellness now, the old age will make you to pay for illness in your life.
Try to negotiate at comp 2 and join there
Please try to get into normal shifts it will set your wlb. I had experience of working in rotational shifts for one year, it leads to many health issues. Also personally I was feeling very bad when I was seeing people logoff generally at 6-7 and same time I was getting logged in. Later i asked for release and then switched company.
