Social media can be considered a positive or a negative. When I first started using social media, I was able to reconnect with schoolmates, long lost friends, and former colleagues.

In the world of overemployment, social media is verboten or considered to be self-destructive. How can one reconcile the desire to reconnect with the need to maintain the (work)life of secrecy?

I wish I was overemployed. Searching for gigs, but nothing yet. Any tips on how to get one or more extra jobs?

I am wondering if I can do this. It feels daunting but also I’ve accepted an offer from another company but don’t know if it is what I want but I think I also don’t feel comfortable in my current situation. I wonder how long I could maybe do this but not sure.

I really want to get a second job but I am scared of losing my current one. Both companies are in same field, although not direct competitors so I know it’s technically “not allowed” however, this is the only way for me to get that $$ since I am not paid all that well.

Of course I won’t tell a single friend/coworker. Only my partner. And I don’t post work stuff on social media.

Realistically what are the ODDS of being caught? Is there a legal/HR process with which they could find out??

The first rule of overemployment is dont talk about overemployment to anyone outside your house. :). Second: always protect the main job. Third: As the main job always has the priority, the Second and third jobs must preferably be contract gigs with not too many meetings everyday. Remember: another day, another dollar.
