Case load= malpractice? Small plaintiff’s firm of 25 attorneys. I was a 2 year associate hired and given 50 active files in pre litigation status. 9 mos later a partner quit and I inherited 45 more. I got up to 105 files. Now I hover at 85 active files in varying stages of pre lit. I asked managing partner for help and was told to settle more claims to lessen my load. Is this what people consider negative work culture?

McK: Lateral move with tenure, 1 yr from EM, generalist still
A&M: Step up to Manager, PEPI (PE performance improvement)

Got my dream job entry level opportunity, 1 year out of undergrad. 70% pay bump, awesome company, extremely interesting subject matter, the hard work paid off. I’m interviewing with the Deloitte and they’re taking an extremely long time. It’s for their internal strategy team.

Another role just got posted that I think aligns better with my skill set and something I would definitely enjoy more.
