Something I’ve been reflecting on: do you think long-term career planning is actually overrated? The further I go, the more it seems like most paths are nonlinear, reactive, shaped by opportunities rather than strategy. Yet we’re constantly told to have a 5–10 year vision. Has deliberate planning meaningfully helped you, or did your career mostly emerge from decisions made one step at a time?

How useful is a CPA license in finding a non-accounting job? Eventually I want to go into more of a financial analyst role but tbh I’m curious about what most people leave auditing to go into. I’m open to anything.
